Previously, the Red Devils advanced to the NCAA third round via a thrilling 2-0 victory over the University of Lynchburg. The victory propelled the Red Devils to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.
The win was secured by sophomore goalkeeper Aidan George, who set a new Dickinson record for most clean sheets in a single season, and goals from Johnny Diederich ’26 and Saul Iwowo ’26.
Dickinson will host the Sweet 16 matchup on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1:30 p.m., when the Red Devils will take on Buffalo State. If the Red Devils advance, they'll play on Sunday, also at home, at 1 p.m.
The Red Devils' success extends beyond the field, with two players and coaches honored by the Centennial Conference (CC), marking three of the four annual awards named by the conference:
Iwowo, the junior forward, had 14 goals and 34 points, leading the conference and solidifying his status as one of the top players in the region. This honor marks the third consecutive year Iwowo has been named to the All-Centennial First Team. Dwamena, the first-year midfielder, made an immediate impact on the team, starting 18 of 20 games and contributing significantly to the team's success with four goals and five assists on his way to Rookie of the Year honors.
The Dickinson coaching staff, led by Head Coach Jorge Chapoy, was honored as the CC Coaching Staff of the Year. With assistants Will Flannery, Seth Stover and Toan Ngo, Chapoy led the Red Devils to a remarkable 14-3-3 overall record and secured a berth in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2017.
