Dickinson Initiates Weeklong Focus on Mental Health

A full slate of activities and events promote well-being and awareness

Project Wave, a newly established club at Dickinson, is sponsoring Mental Health Awareness Week, April 15-20. This initiative fosters mental health awareness, education and support across campus.  

Project Wave is joining forces with different departments to highlight the importance of mental well-being. Mental Health Awareness Week promises a range of activities, from mindfulness meditation to art therapy sessions, to encourage students to take care of their mental health, engage in meaningful discussions and find community support. MONDAY, APRIL 15 

  • Design Your Own Workout: 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., HUB Upper Level. Pizza provided.

  • Study Time, Food Handout: 6–8 p.m., various academic buildings 

TUESDAY, APRIL 16 

  • Painting Pots and Planting: 11:50 a.m.–1:30 p.m., HUB Upper Level 

  • Plate Smashing: 6 p.m., outside of HUB 

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17 

  • Wellness Chat with Jenni Moore, "College Sleep Hacks": noon–1 p.m., HUB Side Room 202 

THURSDAY, APRIL 18 

  • Wii Night: 7–8:30 p.m., Kaufman 178. Dinner provided. 

FRIDAY, APRIL 19 

  • Bracelet and Keychain Making: 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., HUB Upper Level

SATURDAY, APRIL 20 

  • Big April Event: BBQ, Slip and Slide, Lawn Games, Color Walk, Mental Health Campus Resources, Playa Bowls: 1–3 p.m., Lower Quads
