Dickinson has provided me with a thorough and rich education, by giving me the freedom to take classes in different fields and explore all my academic interests while still being able to complete my major and minor requirements. Dickinson provided me with an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad in
Copenhagen, Denmark, for a semester, which I would not have traded for the world! Dickinson has given me an amazing athletic career with the Dickinson women's soccer team and has brought me my best friends.

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
I think Dickinson has consistently provided resources and support toward its students to ensure that we are ready for our lives postgraduation. From the start, students were provided opportunities to attend meetings about resumes and career aspects to ensure their success. We also have access to job search engines that the college provides as well as access to Dickinson alumni information for opportunities at their places of employment. Under our internship program we were provided tasks outside of the actual internship that made us consider questions about the job we were interning for and how it relates to us as people as well as our personal hopes and goals for our careers postgraduation. On the social front, student and resident life consistently provided opportunities for interaction with others. Whether it be events on Britton Plaza or other events run by clubs, we were given the chance to attend and run our own events. This provided us experience that we would need to socialize with others at our future places of employment as well as allow us to be independent from constant supervision that we were used to in high school. Additionally, we had many opportunities to volunteer and see other aspects of the world that need our attention, separate from the jobs we want that have monetary gain. For instance, Greek life, CSE, CCLA, etc, had multiple opportunities for students to volunteer at events that placed us outside the safety of our bubble we had as children and youth. Between the career assistance and volunteering opportunities we as students had the resources that we need to thrive and be productive members of our communities.

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
My Dickinson education, specifically the opportunity to conduct research early, has been critical in applying to graduate school. I spearheaded a research project headed for publication, and I couldn't have done that at many other colleges. Additionally, I've had the opportunity to be involved as a tour guide and student interviewer with admissions, chair of MOB, the QR center, library student supervisor and Greek life. I was able to be part of these experiences while at the same time focusing on academics, and I am thankful for Dickinson for this.

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
Dickinson has prepared me for life after graduation by emphasizing the value of learning, inside and outside of the classroom, and continued education to help others. My classes and research experience at Dickinson helped me to better understand what I wanted to pursue post graduation, and the meaningful connections with my peers and professors has been instrumental in creating a supportive learning environment. I am very grateful for the strong educational foundation I have received at Dickinson, namely in the psychology and
English departments, which has prepared me to confidently enter graduate work in public health.
