Favorite book:
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
On choosing Dickinson:
I decided to attend Dickinson because I was immediately drawn to the impressive study abroad programs offered here. I also was interested in becoming a part of a wonderful culturally diverse student body. I knew that I wanted to be in an enriching academic environment that fosters a deep appreciation for global knowledge and awareness and provides endless opportunities for cross-cultural learning and exchange. It's truly remarkable to witness the unity that emerges from this diverse community, as we celebrate our differences and embrace the beauty of cultural diversity.

Best thing about my major:
The political science and Italian departments at Dickinson allow me to study the two subjects the I am most passionate about in great depth. The classes that are offered are extremely interesting, and I always look forward to spending time with my fellow classmates and professors.

… Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Favorite class:
Italian 323: Fascism and Film, which I took this past year with Professor of Italian and Film Studies Nicoletta Marini-Maio. I knew that it would be a challenge and require much dedication, and it was the most extraordinary course I have ever taken. I have always been a film enthusiast, so I was very intrigued by what this course entailed. After finishing the class, I can say the I have never gained so much knowledge about the art of film, fascism, the Holocaust and many other topics that have opened my mind to a new way of thinking.
Proudest accomplishment so far:
Being recognized for winning the National Organization of Italian American Women Scholarship Award. I was so blessed to have the opportunity to represent the new generation of strong Italian American women and bring honor the past generations who have inspired me to this day.
Favorite professor:
Professoressa Marini-Maio and Senior Lecturer in Italian Luca Lanzilotta are my two favorite professors because of their contagious enthusiasm and passion for their Italian culture. They are an inspiration to me and bring out the best in each one of their students.
Post-Dickinson plans:
I plan to attend law school and become an attorney.
Most important thing I’ve learned so far:
Never let the challenges in your life deter you from chasing after your dreams and accomplishing your goals. Hard work and dedication can overcome any obstacle.
