Back in 2010, world news was pretty busy covering a volcano the erupted in Iceland and went on to wreak havoc across Europe. You talked about it, around the water cooler and whatnot, but you just called it "that volcano." And do you remember why? Because that volcano is called Eyjafjallajökull, and about three people outside of Iceland know how to say that word.
One of them, as luck has it, is Professor of Earth Sciences Ben Edwards. And in this video, Edwards, fresh from the Arctic, walks you through pronunciations of the 10 toughest volcano names on the planet. While wearing a suit that may or may not be used for exploring volcanoes.
