Dickinson in England: University of East Anglia
In the Norwich Science Program, located at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, England, students benefit from access to the course offerings and research opportunities of a major research university while participating in the program-specific curriculum offered by the on-site science program director. UEA has highly regarded programs in the sciences, particularly in the areas of psychology, biology, environmental science and chemistry.
Prior to the start of the fall semester in Norwich, a four-week experiential History of Science course is held in London and various locations throughout England. In London, museums, libraries and historical sites are used as natural laboratories for investigating the development of science from the mid-1600s to the present. During the spring semester students spend about five days in the field (over part of their extended spring/Easter break) to do research and work that will supplement coursework taught by a Dickinson professor. At UEA students live in the Village, co-ed university housing that consists of fully furnished single rooms on floors of 12 students who share common areas and a kitchen (a great place for tea time).

Notes on the University of East Anglia (UEA) psychology program:
- Students may take more than one PSYC 180 course at UEA. Courses noted as PSYC 180(1) fulfill the 100-level Group 1 requirement, courses noted as PSYC 180(2) fulfill the 100-level Group 2 requirement, and courses noted as PSYC 180(3) fulfill the 100-level Group 3 requirement.
- Students may take more than one PSYC 480 course at UEA, but only one of each upper-level course will transfer back as fulfilling psychology major requirements starting with students enrolling as first year students at Dickinson in fall 2022.
- Because differences exist in offerings between institutions, students are advised to choose psychology courses from the above pre-approved list. While other courses at UEA may be worthwhile and may complement a student's study of psychology, they will not typically transfer for credit as a psychology course. If a student chooses to take a course that has not been pre-approved, that student must request course approval from the Department of Psychology. The student should provide course syllabi, course descriptions, and samples of assignments in order for the Department to determine whether or not the student should receive Psychology credit for that course. Questions about Psychology course credit should be directed to Prof. Ford.
