Biography
Lily joined the Center for Civic Learning & Action (CCLA) in June of 2023 and is serving as the newest, and first, Dialogist in Residence. Lily’s position works with both CCLA and Dickinson’s new Dialogues Across Differences program, which is aimed at facilitating productive conversations across polarization and disagreement. As the Dialogist in Residence, Lily recruits, trains, supports and evaluates a cohort of student employees who will engage in dialogue facilitation within the campus and between the campus and Carlisle community.
Lily’s previous work with dialogue facilitation includes working as a Training & Education Pride Coordinator at Dickinson’s Office of LGBTQ Services. They would educate students, staff, faculty, and administration about various aspects of identity, and participants would engage in conversations about their own personal biases and how to be a better ally. Lily also facilitated discussions for (BI)tes and Com(PAN)ionship, a confidential discussion group for bisexual- and pansexual-identifying students that allowed them to discuss their experiences with their identities both on and off campus.
They graduated from ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app in 2023 with a B.A. in Political Science and Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies, as well as a minor certificate in Ethics.
