Muhajir Lesure ' 20
I am currently in my 2nd year as a science instructor/educator at a high school in New Jersey (The photo is from when we kicked off the school year). I finished my Masters in Climate Science in Fall of 2021, and shortly after started my career in Science Education. I currently teach 9th grade Physics, and this past school year I taught 11th grade Chemistry and 9th grade Biology. My journey in education has allowed me to exercise what I learned whilst at Dickinson and Columbia, and continue to learn scientific pedagogy in pursuit of educating black and brown youth STEM-focused content, specifically in my very hometown. In the fall of 2023, I am applying for PhD programs in Education and programs in Teaching and Learning at NYU and Columbia University.
