Certain deductions (retirement, emeriti, annual giving contributions) may be updated directly in Self-Service Banner by employees.
To update an existing deduction:
- Log into the
- Select the SSB icon for Self-Service Banner
- Select Employee Dashboard
- Select Benefits
- Click on Current Enrollment
- Select Deductions and Gifts to update Annual Giving, IRA, and Emeriti plans. Select Retirement Plans to update 403(b) Retirement plans.
- Click on the Update link below the Deduction and/or Gift you'd like to change
- Enter an Effective Date of Change (MM/DD/YYYY) that must be after your last paid date.
- Enter a Per Pay Deduction Amount
- Submit Changes
To stop an existing deduction:
- Log into the
- Select the SSB icon for Self-Service Banner
- Select Employee Dashboard
- Select Benefits
- Click on Current Enrollment
- Select Deductions and Gifts to update Annual Giving, IRA, and Emeriti plans. Select Retirement Plans to update 403(b) Retirement plans.
- Click on the Update link below the Deduction and/or Gift you'd like to change
- Enter an Effective Date of Change (MM/DD/YYYY) that must be ON OR AFTER your last paid date. The deduction will be canceled for the pay period in which your effective date falls.
- Submit Changes
To Add a New Benefit or Deduction
- Log into the
- Select the SSB icon for Self-Service Banner
- Select Employee Dashboard
- Select Benefits
- Click on Current Enrollment
- Select Deductions and Gifts to update Annual Giving, IRA and Emeriti plans. Select Retirement Plans to update 403(b) Retirement plans.
- Select the link at the bottom of the page - Add a New Benefit or Deduction
- Choose a selection from the list of descriptions by clicking on the circle on the right under My Choice, then click on the Select Benefit link at the bottom of the page.
- Enter an Effective Date of Change (MM/DD/YYYY) that must be after your last paid date.
- Enter a Per Pay Deduction Amount
- Submit Changes
