To receive wages in the US, you must apply for a Social Security number. The is the federal authority which issues the official card with a Social Security number. The government uses the number to keep track of your earnings and tax liability. To apply, you need the following:

2. The original and a phototocopy of your (a) valid passport, of your (b) current visa and (c) I-20 form.
3.  I-94 printout
4. Employment verification letters from the Student Employment Office. 
5. ISSS letter verifying your immigration status and proof of authorization to work.

As soon as you receive your Social Security card with your Social Security Number (SSN), please upload a PDF of your Social Security card and your ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app ID to the Registrar's Office using this
