Jessamyn Biette, Environmental Science and French & Francophone Studies
Jessamyn Biette '17
Jessamyn is currently a senior at ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app where she is pursuing a double major in French and Environmental Science. Jessamyn has always had a passion for environmental work stemming from her involvement in various volunteer positions and employment at the wildlife sanctuary in her hometown of Belmont, Massachusetts. Upon arriving at Dickinson, Jessamyn enrolled in the introductory environmental science courses and was captivated by the subject matter. Her commitment to studying the environment enabled her to spend her junior year studying sustainable development in Toulouse, France, and both terrestrial and marine ecology in Brisbane, Australia.
Outside of the classroom, Jessamyn is a student leader in the Outing Club, a global ambassador, a first-year mentor, a monitor at the rock wall, and member of the club ice hockey team. For the past few summers, Jessamyn has worked with the Massachusetts Audubon Society as an environmental educator, drawing from her studies at Dickinson by creating ecology-based curriculum for the summer camp. During the spring semester, Jessamyn is looking forward to applying all of her studies to promoting sustainability goals on campus and in the greater Carlisle community.
