Student Service in the Community

Learning by serving

Student Service in the Community

Whether helping to rebuild storm-damaged homes in the Midwest, teaching English in Cameroon or mentoring children in Carlisle, Dickinsonians engage the world as they learn about it.

Students provide more than 39,000 hours of community service each year through service-learning programs, course-related projects and extra-curricular programs. Partnering with local organizations such as Project S.H.A.R.E., the YMCA and Habitat for Humanity, the college offers many opportunities to become an engaged citizen long before graduation.
