Dickinson’s historic campus may be rooted in the past, but it’s also wired into the future.
From geographic information systems (GIS) to the high-speed network that enables discussions to continue long after class, the college provides faculty, students and staff with the technology resources they need to excel.
Whether web-conferencing with students on the other side of the world or building an augmented-reality Civil War walking tour, Dickinson faculty regularly enhance their teaching with the latest state-of-the-art tools.
The Dickinson Gateway provides students, faculty and staff secure online access to campus e-mail and other online services, such as class registration, directories, course syllabi and much more.
Students can connect their personal computers to Dickinson's ResNet for a fast connection to e-mail, the internet and the on-campus network. Students also can take advantage of the campus’ many public-area computer facilities, all with the same fast network access. Dickinson supports both Macintosh and Windows platforms.
