Opening Reception: Oct. 13, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Goodyear Gallery Public Mural Wall
Joelle Dietrick, a North Carolina-based artist and Davidson College professor of art and digital studies, will produce the annual Goodyear Gallery public mural.
This year's Goodyear Gallery public-mural artist is Joelle Dietrick, a North Carolina-based artist and professor of art and digital studies at Davidson College. Dietrick, a central Pennsylvania native, has an interest in our relationships to home and seeks to understand the impact our homes have on the natural world. She has designed a mural that explores her childhood home in central Pennsylvania and her memories of events such as the Three Mile Island incident in 1979, in addition to other local subjects, such as Schweinitz's waterweed, a now-extinct plant that was once found in Pennsylvania.
The mural will be completed and ready for public viewing beginning Oct. 4, 2021.
All events are subject to change.
